Kennedy's Weekly Portrait - 10.27.12
Jen and I decided to take weekly photos of Kennedy and post them here. Since we're a couple of weeks behind, I'm going ahead and catching up...here are the first 3 weeks, enjoy!
Initial Post - Bio
Thanks for stopping by our family blog, we have wanted to start this for some time. Now with the addition of our newest little one it's about time!
Just a little about our family. We're Jen and Paul Kroger. Since getting married we have made our way from the East Coast, through the South, to the Midwest where we now live. We have found wonderful people and great places everywhere we've lived.
Jen and I were college sweethearts and married in 2009. After a honeymoon in San Diego we moved to our first home together in Charlotte, North Carolina. That's where our first child entered our family...
We rescued Bogey from a shelter by the Virginia border. She and several of her sisters were tossed in a bag and dropped on the side of the road (how could you abandon this cute little girl?).
Our next move was to Arkansas where some of our best friends are (you know who you are). It was here that Bogey began her lifelong passion of guarding the home against invaders, both foreign and domestic.
Last year we moved to Iowa. We loved the idea of milder summers and white winters (so much for that this year, summer was HOT). Our first move was to Eastern Iowa. However, this spring we moved West to Des Moines, where we live now. In February we received the most excited news to date...another addition to our family!
We were so excited at the prospect of adding a little girl to the Kroger Klan and 9 Months later (well, actually a little less, more on that later) Kennedy Rae was born!
So that's a quick update on our family so far. We love our friends and family and are so excited to share our story with all of you!
